The 25th Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival will happen from March 26 to March 30, 2025. People who love movies, filmmakers, and famous guests will come together for five days. There will be movies, talks, and special events. The festival will show 15 long movies and two sets of short films.
The movies will play in two main places. One is Capawock Theater, a big theater with 220 seats. It is 112 years old and is at 43 Main Street, Vineyard Haven. The other place is Grange Hall, which is smaller with 78 seats. It is at 1067 State Road, West Tisbury. Some events will also be at the Performing Arts Center at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. This place is bigger and has 750 seats. It is at 100 Edgartown Vineyard Haven Road, Oak Bluffs.
Movies and Locations
The festival will show 15 feature films and two short film collections. Movies will play at three locations:
- Capawock Theater (43 Main St., Vineyard Haven) – A small, old theater with 220 seats.
- Grange Hall (1067 State Road, West Tisbury) – A cozy place with 78 seats.
- Performing Arts Center (100 Edgartown Vineyard Haven Rd., Oak Bluffs) – The biggest venue with 750 seats.
Famous Guests
Some well-known people from politics, fashion, and food will be there. They will also join discussions after some movies.
Jacinda Ardern (Former Prime Minister of New Zealand)
- Movie: Prime Minister (March 28, 7:30 p.m.)
- Place: Performing Arts Center
- Discussion: She will talk about leadership with the movie’s directors.
Carol Alt (Supermodel & Actress)
- Movie: Beyond the Gaze: Jule Campbell’s Swimsuit Issue
- Discussion: She will talk about how Jule Campbell changed fashion photography.
Kenneth Cole (Fashion Designer & Activist)
- Movie: A Man With Sole: The Impact of Kenneth Cole
- Discussion: He will speak about fashion and social issues.
Giuliano Hazan (Famous Chef & Son of Marcella Hazan)
- Movie: Marcella
- Discussion: He will talk about his mother, Marcella Hazan, a famous Italian chef.

Festival Food
Good food will be available at the festival:
- Nina Levin (Stoney Hill Pizza) will cook chicken curry ($24) and chickpea curry ($22) at Grange Hall on March 27.
- S&S Kitchenette (Spring Sheldon) will sell food near Capawock Theater.
